Hyping up for world Juniors. What teams will be good?

The world juniors is like the world cup for me and many other die hard hockey fans. It's always so fun to watch and see who can play with Canada and come out with gold. So in this article, we will compare rosters, and predict what countries besides Canada and the US, could come out on top.

Canada's team

Canada, as per usual, will be a powerhouse team this year. Their best forwards will consist of Macklin Celebrini, possible #1 pick, Connor Geekie, Brayden Yaeger, and Matthew Sovie.

Macklin Celebrini will be leading Canada this year, and without Bedard this year will be different for Canada. Their roster has a ton of already drafted, or in college NHL players that have a lot of potential. Brayden Yaeger was drafted by the Penguins last year 10th pick I think, and will be a key player in the 2024 world juniors.

I project Canada to be pretty close in skill toward USA , even closer than last year.

USA's roster

USA has a strong defence to put up against Canada this year. Their world juniors team will consist of Cole Esierman, James Haegan, Will Smith, and more. " I think this is our year to steal it from Canada. We have a great roster, and a great team," Cole Esierman says.

I agree with him and think in terms of depth USA has the better draft class this yea

Best underdogs in world juniors

Underdogs are always hard to predict in the WJC because random teams like Germany, or Norway sometimes go on a little streak. Last year the most unexpected team to be in the ship was Czehia. After beating Sweden in OT, they had some confidence but Canada came out on top. I would have to expect Finland and Sweden to be solid this year. Sweden's roster has almost every player already drafted, and has the rookie Leo Carlson.
