NHL Power rankings best prospects 21 and under

We always love counting down the best prospects each year, and gather a ton of data and stats from the Athletic, the NHL, and The Hockey news. The prospects we have gathered could be in the NHL, college, or even juniors. We hope you enjoy the power rankings we have put together for you.

  1. Connor Bedard

It's no shock he is #1 on this list with just reaching about his 10th goal, and 17th point.

Even when he was with the Regina Pats he might have cracked this list in the top 5.

If i had to predict his first season I think he would get about 30-45 goals and finish with 70ish points.

2. Logan Cooley

Logan Cooley has shown incredible talent for his rookie year. Talk about his spin a roma goal and his passing ability. Nobody expected him to be this good his rookie season, but him and Clayton Keller are carrying Arizona right now. Logan Cooley played one year at Minnesota with Matthew Knies who is also very a like in skill to him. " Playing college hockey with Matthew was fun. But when I decided it was go time in the summer to sign my contract, I was ready," Said Logan Cooley. Another player who also played in the USNTDP program before going to college.

3. Matthew Knies

Another Minnesota player that we just mentioned, is shining in the NHL too. Matthew Knies is a power forward who isn't afraid to shoot, dangle, or celly. After losing the NCAA finals at Amalie arena in Florida, he hauled back up to Minnesota, signed his contract, and went back down to Florida to play the Panthers. Playing on a line with Matthews and Neilander is a huge advantage for him too. " I never thought I'd go from college, to playing on a line with some of the best players in the world," says Matthew Knies

4. Adam Fantilli

I great 2 way forward for the Columbus Blue Jackets has found his way on this list. I hope Adam Thrives in the NHL which seems like he is working on it. Although, he is playing with a very tough Columbus Blue Jackets team with his coach benching players one by one. What I can say is he is one of the few Canadian players that plays in the USHL and then goes to college because as you know, is a Hobby Baker award winner from Michigan Univ . " This year is all about developing, and adapting to the NHL for me. And my team is still in a rebuild," says Adam Fantilli.

5. Leo Carlson

The 6,3 Swedish forward is doing great with Zegras in Aniheim. Drafted 2nd overall, just barely in front of Adam Fantilli, this kid is just getting started. Me and everybody seems to be on the idea of Zegras playing with Leo Carlson. Everyone knew whoever went to Anihiem , would be a good duo with Zegras, and in this case it's Leo Carlson. " Playing alongside Zegras, and McTavish has been fun. But I need to focus on developing my skill and getting better every day," Carlson says. Anihiem has done a great job during the rebuild. They happened to get Masan McTavish who has been excellent, Zegras, and Carlson during their rebuild. I think they've done a great job and hope they do a great job developing Leo.

6. Luke Hughes

Ah yes also a Hughes brother. Much like his brother Quin, Luke has a defensive mindset and has an awesome skating ability to add to that. Just like all the Hughes brothers, Luke went to Michigan Univ and was a star with Fantilli there before coming to New Jersey to join his brother Jack. I love watching two brothers play on one team, and I hope him and Jack make New Jersey a great place to be. Jack Hughes says," Playing with my brother Jack has been fun all year long, but it would be cool if we had all 3 Hughes brothers on one team,".

Of course we could of added more, but you could maybe predict who we would of added. We are planning on doing and under 18 or 17 power ranking in a month, so make sure to subscribe for more hockey.
