Ranking the top 5 D-men in the league

Ranking players has always been fun for us but especially for D. Nobody does it better than them in terms of playing Defense and a little bit of scoring goals. But we will kick this list off with the #1 Defenseman in the league.

  1. Erik Karlson

This Defenseman has exploded in points this season and maybe had one of the best seasons he will ever have in the NHL. Not many names come close to Erik Karlson this year. Last year he was nowhere to be found in the NHL and was lacking a lot in points but the era of Defenseman was last since we cad Makar, Romi Josi, and more. Erik is really good at shots from the point and getting defenseman type goals. With his all star opportunity

his popularity has started to pick up with fans starting to pay attention to him and wearing his jersey.

This year was a little easier to pick than last year for sure so let me know in the comments who you think is the best Defenseman.

2. Victor Hedman

With the strength of his size and power anything is possible for this defenseman.

His incredible shot is a reason for this but it's just the way he plays and how it's just in his blood to play hockey. He has always been a great defenseman since he entered the league but if you compare Cale Makar to him, they are very different. Hedman shuts people down, hits, and has a huge shot. Cale on the other hand has great edge work and is quick and is really good at gapping up. So right there, you got two very different types of D-men.

But when it comes to Tampa Bay's defense almost no name can come fourth more than the name Victor Hedman. So if you ever see Tampa Bay lightning on TV make sure to keep on eye on this incredible defenseman.

3. Cale Makar

In the past few seasons this guy was the other king of defense. When it comes to his incredible top notch goal last season nothing comes to him as well as the word defense.

With his crazy edge work and handles anything is possible for him. Oh and get this if you ever score a goal on him you better keep the puck because it doesn't happen often.

Being young won't stop him from being the best, I mean this kid already has a cup in his like 4th year.

4. Roman Josi

Points and defensive stops are what comes to mind when you think of Roman Josi. Last year was a blow up year for him with being 2nd to Cale Makar is what most people say.

Not only was he insane a defense he could get many points by his slick shot from the point whether it was an assist or a goal. With being the best player on the Nashville predators

he has nothing to lose and is working on the playoffs with his team right now.

5. Jaccob Slavin

This man might own defense in the league not the type of guy who will score goals but is a team player and is tough on his hits and nobody can barely get past him. He has not been as big as a deal this year but when you win defensive player of the year you pretty much have to be on this list. But Slavin and his hurricanes have had another awesome season so let's see how his chase for the cup is going. ( I would love to have the Canes win the cup)
