For my POV that hit should have been a 5 min major and a 2 game suspension. NYR rangers say that Timo should have kept his head up and that it was just a good hockey play. According to NHL ref Mike Smith,'' I was not reffing that game but what I saw was disgusting and that should have been a suspension for him despite the playoffs where ref's tend to call less.''
The hit looked clean at first but when you saw the replay trust me you did not want to see it again.'' When I saw that hit I thought it was just a good play, they showed the replay and I was disgusted and, again hockey is not football,'' according to Max Norman.
