Tuesdays no matter what in the NHL are always a blockbuster night. Not only tonight there
are playoff games, but some really important ones. If you are not watching tonight this will be good to give you some info on the teams and the matchups.
Tampa Bay Lightning at Toronto Maple Leafs
7:30PM Scotiabank arena
This game might be one of the best playoff series of the first round. Maple Leafs are looking for a first round advance, and the Lightning is hungry for another cup. This is the second year in the row of this series which makes things heated.
The Tampa Might have the goal tending matchup with Vasiliskey but Toronto still has a pretty solid goalie which is Iyla Samsonov. In terms of Depth in defense, this is hard. The Lightning have Victor Headman, Mikhail sergachev and a lot of depth on their defense so I think Tampa might win that battle. On offense it is pretty much a solid tie. The Maple Leafs have Auston Matthews, Jhon Tavares, Mitch Marner, Matthew Knies, and some other good offensive players. And Tampa has Steven Stamkos, Knikita Kuhurov, Brayden Point, and Pat Maroon. So yeah a tie.
But in overall I think the Maple Leafs have all the momentum to get past all of their first round exits, so they are playing with everything to lose so in reality I think the Maple Leafs win this one.
Rangers at Devils 7:00PM
The top metro matchup most fans are looking forward to is this series. I think this is going to be 7 games. But anyway, Elliot Pope asked if the Devils are too young for the playoffs and how they are going to do against a really good New York Rangers team. In my opinion I think they will not win the cup but will play a really good series with the Rangers, age in depth does not matter that much in the NHL, But we will get back to your question Elliot.
Tonight is important but also not important for the series I think it is going to be 7 games but this first game will need a big intro in my opinion. ( despite the rivalry they have)
