Last night was truly a nightmare for the Toronto Maple Leafs, and we will get into it but what they are really missing is being consistent. Every year they are a top 5 team and exit the first round to a team ranked lower than them. ''At the first minute we win against the Boston Bruins, and then the other minute we lose against the San Jose Sharks. " Says Maple Leafs GM Kyle Dubas.
Need to work on their PK
Despite having Alex Kurfoot ejected for a 5 min major for a check to the head, they took 4 penalties that led to goals which means that their penalty kill sucked. If they had a much better PK and didn't maybe take as many penalties they would be in some better shape but they still have stuff they need to tweek.
They need many shots on Vasiliskey
Last night when I was watching they needed to hit the net I just destroy the Lightning in shots. If they can do that then I think they might have a little bit of a better time on offense.
The head coach of the Toronto Maple Leafs said last night,'' We need to hit the net there were way too many shots that we missed last night that we could have scored.''
He may be right about this but it is not the main thing that gave them the nightmare.
They need to be more consistent
Like we have said they need to either beat the team or lose to the team. They can't be spanking a really good team and then losing to the worst team. So tonight if they can pull off a win and be more consistent I think the sky is the limit to where they could go.
