The world juniors are going to start at the end of december so let's start talking about it.
The canadiens this year this year are yet again the hot favor, with Connor Bedard the probably #1 pick they have some young talent on their side. Mctavish again is playing WJC for the canadiens. After being named MVP last year I think he is ready to have another big tournament. The top underdogs this year are probably Finland, Sweden, and of course the USA. USA is getting tired of Canada winning. But this year I think is the year, they have luke hughes, and the #3 draft pick Logan Cooley. Some of the guys are in college or with the NTDP. Only a third were drafted into the NHL. But with their team this year and motivation to beat Canada I think this is their year.
Finland on the other side is the heavy underdog in a good way. Some of the guys won the Olympics in Bejing last year, so for me they have a good advantage. Slovakia is getting their licks in this year with having the #1 pick Slafkovsky and the #2 pick Simon Nemic. They also have that advantage too.
This blog would be 100 feet long if we wrote about every team, but for now we are just going to talk about the Torney itself. Last year the tornament was moved to august due to Covid 19, But this year it's back in the holidays. This will bring more people to watch for the holidays and have that christmas spirit in the World cup...
